We are excited to share some insights on doing business with the State of Illinois! This is a collaborative website of procurement resources compiled to assist vendors, new and returning, in navigating the many facets of the procurement process. Before you begin exploring our Pathway to Procurement (P2P), there are a few things we want to draw your attention to, below.
The Procurement Roadmap is the quickest way to become familiar with the rules, requirements, programs and procurement bulletins across the State. Whether you are a construction vendor, commodities or service supplier, the Roadmap will assist in directing toward the resources you require to successfully begin the bidding process.
You've found the CPO for General Service's site for training resources for BidBuy. BidBuy is the CPO-GS' and CMS' e-procurement system. BidBuy is also the General Service's procurement bulletin where you will find all CPO-GS procurement opportunities and awards. BidBuy permits electronic submission of quotes for some procurement types. We update this page as new resources become available, so bookmark this page and check back often.
The Chief Procurement Office remains strongly committed to making state procurement easier for vendors. The Ilinois Procurement Gateway (IPG) is a substantial effort at remaking how vendors bid on state contracts. The IPG minimizes the amount of paperwork that vendors must provide with each bid, standardizes the State's review of vendor disclosures, and provides the public with more transparency.
With various offices throughout the State sharing the procurement process, finding the right person to assist you with questions and issues can be difficult. In hopes of making the P2P a one-stop-shop, we have compiled a comprehensive lists of helpdesk information for your convenience.
